program description
The Storage Technologist certification is part of the EMC Proven Professional program, an information and storage technology industry training and certification program. The program allows IT and storage professionals in a range of roles to improve their workplace productivity, validate their industry expertise, and further their careers, while bringing increased operational efficiencies to data center environments.

There are three recognized levels of expertise that can be achieved in the program: Associate, Specialist, and Expert. To progress, you must complete the previous level and pass the associated exam. The designations for each level are:

  1. EMC Proven Associate (EMCPA): This is the foundation certification which correlates to Course 174, "Storage Technology Foundations."
  2. EMC Proven Professional Storage Technologist Specialist (EMCST)
  3. EMC Proven Professional Storage Technologist Expert (EMCSTe)
