RESTON, VA (May 17, 2007) Learning Tree International (NASDAQ NM: LTRE) has announced a new entry to its list of courses utilizing RealityPlus, a training methodology in which attendees learn by being immersed in media-rich business simulations. During the 3-day course, entitled Developing Effective Software Estimation Techniques, an expert instructor/facilitator leads activities designed to provide participants with first-hand experience in the many facets of estimating software projects effectively.
The course will also offer instruction in how to:
- Prepare a software project estimate through an iterative process
- Develop an initial estimate using the expert judgment method
- Apply historical data for greater precision in an estimate
- Refine the size or scope estimate using a component-based method
- Perform Function Point calculations to determine the magnitude of a project
Developing Effective Software Estimation Techniques is valuable for anyone who works on software projects, from individual developers to project managers who need to create estimates or establish an estimation process in their organization.
