CAL 1 is a Certified Agile Leadership Scrum Alliance certification course for anyone who wants to impact an organization's journey to resiliency and success. In this course, you will learn how to:

  • Navigate rapidly changing environments
  • Explore the mindset shifts required to be an agile leader

Training Prerequisites

Clear your schedule to be fully present during the training hours; if a participant misses more than 30 minutes of the class, they will not be eligible to be certified. Should your schedule prevent you from attending the entire class, our team will work with you to schedule another class on a different date.

Certification Information

  • There is no exam. This will be explained further during the workshop portion of the training.
  • The Certified Scrum Trainer leading your class will register your attendance with the Scrum Alliance, after which you will receive an email from them with your certification.

1.1 Define agile leadership.

1.2 Discuss the key differentiators between an agile leadership approach and a general leadership approach.

1.3 Explain the challenges traditional management approaches face in today's world of work.

1.4 Describe the benefits of becoming a more effective leader for teams and organizations.

1.5 Describe key mindset shifts required for effective leadership in complex and uncertain conditions.

2.1 Define a leadership framework and model.

2.2 Identify key characteristics of leadership frameworks that support successful leadership development and growth.

2.3 Examine the benefits and challenges of having a structured leadership development framework.

2.4 Demonstrate at least one way to inspect and adapt your own leadership behavior based on a leadership framework and model to increase effectiveness.

2.5 Identify at least five leadership skills that help Agile Leaders be successful.

2.6 Practice at least two leadership skills that can help grow competency in others. 

2.7 Practice at least two leadership skills to help you grow as an agile leader.

3.1 Describe the key characteristics and benefits of a high-performing team

3.2 Describe tools and techniques that leaders can use to help teams become and maintain a high-performance team.
